I have always been a big fan of Gossip Girl, so much so that I am watching the complete series for the third time around. I think it was way ahead of its time. Blogging was a very ‘thanda’ term back then and GG has a lot to contribute to the world of blogging, namely – Fashion Blogging! Like really, what is GG without fashion anyway.
Talk of GG and the names that spring up to your mind are B and S. Ok, Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen to be precise. 😀 And no I am not talking about either of them here today. I very strangely seem to have taken a special liking towards Jenny Humphrey’s ‘Goth Girl’ fashion sense after watching it for the third time (though my fav still remains to be Queen B!). Little J (I am even obsessed with their trend of ‘initials-only’ names) seem to have gone from the goody goody pretty girl to a complete badass chic, and though I just do not like the character, one cannot ignore her super goth girl style!
It made me think of how my personal style has evolved over the seasons from a simple college girl fashion to a more safe and sophisticated style to breaking some fashion rules and now this! With my heart now inclining towards bolder statements, I tried replicating a similar Goth Girl look, complete with black lipstick (tutorial coming up soon!) and my cool new ‘Jaws’ cap!!
Now again, whoever said fat girls should not show their thunder thighs! 😉
I don’t think it would be just of me to do Little J and leave behind the styles of the main characters of GG right? I am thinking of doing a take on B and S’s fashion too! (With the makeup ofcourse!) What do you think?
