No matter how much I love dressing up, I do realise now that I have always played safe. Most of my previous outfit posts have either been wearing dark colors or straight fits or loose fitting clothes or monochromes or layering. You know, clearly abiding by the ‘Fat Girl Fashion Rules’. I can hardly think of times when I have really taken a risk and tried something experimental. Being a plus size comes with certain strict rules of dressing up, but we can bend it right? My new year resolution was to try and be a little more risky, break some preconceived notions about dressing up the right way, and I start it off with this 😉 The first of my ‘Fat Girl Fashion Rules – Broken!” series.
Let’s look at some of the fat girl fashion rules (that I stubbornly chose to break):
Avoid light colors, especially white Avoid round necks Avoid crop tops Always draw attention to the slimmest part of your body by throwing on a thin belt Never go for light colored overalls
And lots more! But these 5 are the ones I broke, all in one outfit! Yes, I did. May be you should take a look at it and let me know what you think?
