Lately, there have been quite a few new asian restaurants opening around and this place is definitely the one which is somewhat a stand out from the crowd.
The best thing I like about them is that they are not claiming to serve the best authentic asian food like many other restaurants and then fall short of expectations. They call it ‘funky asian gourmet’. Planning to visit them already? 😀
Coming straight to the food, in one word. Delicious! I personally don’t like soups, but when the guy insisted to try out “Tom Kha – coconut based soup” I thought to give it a try. And MAN, that was indeed the best part of the entire meal! They have a variety of flavours on the menu. Asian barbecue chicken, momos etc. makes a safe and yum option in the appetisers if you are not in a mood to experiment. Too hungry? crash straight to any of the pot rice and you will not be disappointed coz the pot full of rice is not just yum, but also fills up two people unless you have an exceptional diet, like mine 😀 We tried a christmas special pot rice full of some mushrooms, broccoli, and more exotic thai veggies, and it was delicious.
As usual, the moment I saw the menu, my eyes went straight to a sentence which read, “Signature Desserts” but once we were done with the main course and asked for the choco caramel mousse, it wasn’t available. And to my surprise the guy told me that the deserts are outsourced. Then how can it be Signature dessert? Strange!
The only disappointment from whatever we tasted was a mustard flavoured fish rice and “Sloppy Joe sandwich”. I sure have tasted way better sandwiches and fish mustard dishes. If you live around Andheri, Lokhandwala, its a good home delivery or grab and go option but if you are in a mood to dine out and chill, then this place would be a BIG NO. They have a small sitting area and not very hospitable surroundings. But I am surely going to drop in to this place anytime I am around Andheri, just for their Tom Kha soup and I suggest you should too 🙂
